What is the difference between the pure Pashmina & the Pashmina with silk blend?
The Pure Pashmina is very expensive as well as delicate, and is not a practical proposition for more frequent and informal dressing. Fifty-fifty (50/50) blending of pashmina fiber with silk and using mass producing techniques results in products (‘shawl’, ‘scarf’ or a ‘wrap’) which have a unique softness, smoothness, and are devoid of typical itching feeling associated with pure wool. Silk in the blend makes the product very elegant, comfortable, resistant to wear and tear, easily affordable, and quite suitable for everyday use, therefore making it very popular. We at Cashmere Pashmina Store call it Silk Pashmina. Women generally wear Silk Pashmina shawls/scarf as casual wrap or as a part of their business attire.
