My buyer wants viscose shawl. And I had talk with many suppliers for viscose shawl and you know what guys they are saying Viscose Pashmina I m surprised Pashmina is kind of wool and Viscose is Cotton Thread how it can be Viscose pashmina. Then the Manufacture told me that in the wholesale market every one is say Viscose Pashmina. And they are also putting the tag of 100% Pashmina.

so u are into pashmina business…..is it difficult to convince buyers that a particular product actually doesn’t exist….
yes i m in pashmina business. These buyers are not concentrate on quality they only see the price.
I know the conversation is stretching and I am no expert …..but I find it strange because going by the economic theory of price and demand the demand for a pashimna shawl should be perfectly inelastic with its price because pashmina will fall in the class of high value artistic work----naturally bought for status rather than necessity……so if a person will have to buy pashmina he will buy it irrespective of its price…….
perhaps you should slightly change your attitude towards your customers, may be some blah blah about the exotic quality and sthing like its not a Reebok shoe which you will buy next year and hence regretting after compromising with the quality se achcha hai ki buy the best one…… might help……
its just a suggestion……I know you know the market and your customers better than me….plz don’t feel offended……hope the strategy works……cheers

well unfortunately that’s not my beat, because most of my stories are about economics, politics or government policies……so sadly pashmina doesn’t fit in my profile……but I would love to know more about the shawl as well as the person, who is writing about it…….ha ha ha…….
